Technoclubs
Imagine a young person in your class creating the next Facebook or new smartphone or something that is going to radically change the world for everyone?
Technoclubs will help kick-start their own mini enterprise – they will be creating a product, making it, advertising it and telling the world about how exciting it is. Who knows you may have the next Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates somewhere in your class.
By following our Ten Steps to creating a Technoclub the young people in your class could be one step closer to living their dream and yours!
10 Steps to Creating a Technoclub
-
Get your class into groups of either four or five and get them to decide on a group name

-
Ensure you have the correct software installed to run the clubs. These are all open source and available at no cost. Feel free to Get in touch if you need any help.
-
Refer to the Technoclub project sheet available in Resources, where we have broken down the tasks into seven manageable stages
-
Get the young people thinking about what they have learnt from the workshop
-
Ensure they are clear about their ideas
-
Don’t let them forget their target audience
-
Let them be creative
-
Encourage them to be ambitious
-
And ultimately, make sure they enjoy it and have fun
